Schiefer Suite- • Steakhaus - Goslar

I am here right now and I have to say that the pizza was good.

Friendly staff speaking good English, but willing to patiently help you if you insist on trying it in German ; They also have English menus available. We arrived around 19:00 and although the restaurant was quite busy compared to other restaurants in town, we could still easily find a place to sit inside. Terrace outside is available for sunny days, but it was getting a bit cool already when we arrived

Friday 10. July 2020. Dont make the same mistake as we did, When we decided to eat at Schiefer in Goslar, Harzen, Germany. Location is nice, service is so slow a snail would say Damn this is slow motion, service! Tabels were not really clean had to clean it ourself.... it looked clean but it wasent (during Corona). Tables not cleaned between visitors, as we saw it. Not many people in the restaurant (have since picture of how few visited) still had to wait 30 min just to order the food, should have left!!! If you are in the same situation, pay for your drinks and find a better place to eat, should not be difficult, even McDonnals 700 meters away at least have quicker service. Natually the drinks were on the table quickly so we could order more when the food finally would arrive. After 1 hour the food showed up! It gave me time to start this review. However we needed to ask for forks and knives but also salt pepper, weird!... Food quality was not bad, in general it was ok.... but difficult for them to make pasta with tomatsauce .... how can this be difficult to understand order. Price 12 euros pretty expensive. Another funny episode is, dogs seems to be allowed inside the restaurant !?!?! Not one of these dogs that can be in a handbag, but pretty big one. Maybe thats normal just not seen that before..Have a fine picture as well. Dont visit Schiefer it will just ruin your mood and the food is nothing speciel. We triede, but not going to revisit... positive note, the restrooms were fine.. They call it Goslar Steakhouse We called it Goslar escape room.

The food was somewhat okay, but the service was absolutely terrible. We waited a long while for the staff to take our order and another 45 minutes before we got our food. They forgot they drinks for one of us. When we finished eating, we had to wait for 15 minutes to get the check. We seriously considered just leaving. A homeless man came to our table begging for money and food and would not listen when we respectfully asked him to leave. The staff was no help at all. One of the waiters was constantly running around and was extremely busy, while others stood in the bar seeming to do nothing at all. We only had one day in Goslar, and we are really disappointed that we had to spend so much time at this place.

Great variety of drinks at reasonable process. Atmosphere is modern but cozy. Staff could be faster we had to wait for quite a while until we received our drinks. All in all, a recommended place to go for a drink. We didn't try the food though.
