Wow! Absolutely amazing! The unique sauce (butter maple brown sugar) combined with a meat lovers pizza with added mushrooms and artichoke on a gluten-free crust was delicious . It was definitely slap your momma good. View all feedback.
This is the best pizza I've ever tasted! I sampled both the maple bacon and Margherita pizzas, and they were outstanding. The service was not only friendly but also exceptional. The decor and cleanliness of the place were impressive as well. I wholeheartedly recommend it!
The highlight of the meal was definitely the pizza. It was generously sized, featuring a thin, flavorful crust in the center, complemented by a chewy, medium-thick outer edge. The fresh, vibrant sauce had just the right level of sweetness to really awaken the taste buds—truly outstanding! The cheese was high-quality and evenly spread, while the pepperoni was delicious although it made the pizza a bit oily. All in all, it was an exceptionally great pizza, and as a pizza lover, I don’t make that statement lightly. For dessert, we treated ourselves to a brownie sundae, which was above average as well—a rich and delicious chocolate brownie topped with Gifford's ice cream and just the right amount of fudge. This restaurant is excellent for lunch or dinner. If it weren't for the slow service and lack of attentiveness, I would have easily given this experience a five-star rating.
This is the absolute best pizza I've ever had, which is a bold claim to make for myself. I 100% recommend the maple bacon pizza! Despite the occasional slow service, the pizzas are quick and always cooked to perfection. Definitely recommend if you're in the area!!
This place has fantastic pizza. We have gone here several times after backpacking trips and I have always thought that the pizza was stellar, although this is typically in the setting of having been on the trail for a few days so I was not sure. However, for the first time this past weekend there was a little bit of pizza left so I had a chance to re evaluate when not starving, it holds up! I have always gotten the Margherita pizza. Crust is hand stretched, thin. Toppings include fresh mozzarella, fresh basil, and what seems to be fresh chopped tomatoes. This is wood fired pizza with a moderately high oven temp short bake time; not Neapolitan, but a little higher temp than NY style pizza. This is the best pizza in NH, and some of the best pizza I have had anywhere.
Date of service: May 30, 2015 Meal: Dinner, dine in All Ratings out of 10: Quality of food: 8 Food to Spend Value: 8 Quality of Service: 8 Overall Rating: 8 We were heading back to Boston from a long day of hiking in the White Mountains and found ourselves in Gorham, NH. Pizza always sounds good after lots of hiking, and Mountain Fire looked fantastic and got great reviews, so we stopped in for dinner. The first thing I noticed, besides the amazing smells that wafted into my nose upon entry, was that they had a nice selection of local New England craft brews on draught. I went with a Moat Mountain, which is a Czech style pilsner, and it was fantastic. We decided to order wood fired breadsticks with cheese as an appetizer while deciding on our pizza. The cheese breadsticks were essentially like a cut up cheese pizza and had a fantastic flavor. The dough in the breadsticks themselves was super yummy, and they were very cheesy with a nice seasoning. For our main pizza we ordered a Meat Lover's Pizza. They allow you to pick the sauce you want (we went with regular red pizza sauce, though other options include basil pesto and olive oil), and it came topped with sausage, pepperoni, bacon, ham, chicken, hamburger, and their provolone mozzarella cheese blend. It was a very hearty pizza, and the combination of all the various meats was really fantastic. The cheese was super delicious, and the seasoning on the pizza was also quite nice. The sauce was also really good, which is a critical component for a great pizza. The crust was superb and was light and slightly crispy like a great wood fired pizza should be. The entire package translated into a superb pizza, and I was extremely satisfied with my meal. The restaurant had the typical eat in pizza vibe, meaning it was casual but nice. The service was very good and attentive, and we didn't have to wait too long for our food. Everything we got was super fresh and tasted amazing, and the prices were very reasonable. It was a great way to end a long day of hiking, though if I were in the area I would come back even if I hadn't been hiking. I highly recommend Mountain Fire Pizza to anyone who likes a great pizza. You won't be disappointed.
