Liz and her team provided my family and friends with the most beautiful rehearsal dinner in her garden. Liz created the most delicious south East Asian themed dinner and was able to accommodate my guests under her tent. I am still dreaming of the combination of flavors and complexity of her dishes. Growing up, we went to her restaurants often and it's where I have fond memories of gathering with my family and grandpa... View all feedback.
What Danielle Pungitore doesn't like about Libby's Bistro:
Cute place, good food, but never open when we want to go, which is pretty disappointing. We have a vacation home up here and come up once a month. In a year and a half, we’ve been there once. Every other time it has been closed for some reason. Info isn’t up to date if you try to look it up on Google, the website or Facebook page. I’m not sure how they stay in business being open only after 5, closing down for vacati... View all feedback.
Absolutely recommend. Easy covid-safe takeout. Amazing food. Dishes are like a fusion of southeast Asian and American classics with a unique spice palate. There's some real creativity and skill in the kitchen here. The duck with handmade noodles was a highlight for me. The Cambodian noodles were savory and warming, kind of like a mild red curry sauce. Perfect for a cold winter night.
My Wife and I had a fabulous dinner at Libby's. The ambiance was perfect for a nice quiet dinner. The staff was helpful and attentive. They made sure every detail was just perfect. I really can't praise the staff enough for how friendly and professional they were. The portions are generous and the flavors fresh and exciting. The mussels were the best I've ever had and I've had them right in PEI. I wish we were in town for another night so we could return and sample even more of the menu.
Stellar food and fantastic atmosphere! Started with cocktails at the lovely outside bar my Hello Moto with gin, Campari, and hibiscus and rooibos syrup was fantastic. We ordered the mussels (tender and served with amazing garlic bread), the handkerchief pasta with mushroom confit and local chanterelles (gorgeously presented and seriously terrific) and the burger (top notch with the bacon jam). We almost skipped dessert but thank goodness we went all in. The lemon cardamom cookie with lemon curd vanilla ice cream was crazy delicious. Make sure to give this gem a try!
Liz and her team hosted the most wonderful rehearsal dinner for my family and friends in her beautiful garden. She designed a delicious Southeast Asian themed menu and was gracious enough to accommodate all my guests under her tent. I'm still reminiscing about the incredible flavors and complexity of her dishes. Growing up, my family frequently visited her restaurants, and I cherish the memories of gathering with my loved ones there. Her restaurant and storefront are essential parts of the Gorham community and attract tourists to this charming mountain town. I eagerly anticipate my trips up north every summer and sincerely hope Liz's restaurants continue to thrive there for years to come!
I'm in town helping my family with transportation and support for the hikers. I treated myself to a solo dinner, and I have no regrets—only a strong wish for more stomachs to enjoy it all! A few highlights: the semolina bread that comes with the Gulf shrimp appetizer is a must-try, the handkerchief pasta had a flawless texture, and if you think I'm just obsessed with gluten, wait until you try the heavenly almond flour chocolate cake—it nearly knocked me off my feet. Don’t think twice—just go!
