One of the better amatos out there, my go to but only due to geographical convenience. They have a weird switch thing going on, i don't know what's up with that.

My husband is a huge fan of the Italian subs at Amato's. While he can settle for other locations, the one in downtown Gorham, ME, is his absolute favorite. Whenever we head to Portland or Scarborough, we always make a detour to Gorham. Yes, we willingly drive past the Scarborough location just to get to Gorham.
This is the best Amato's in Maine! My sandwiches are always prepared perfectly, and the staff is exceptionally friendly.
