The restaurant was quite busy, but they still followed all the guidelines. We were very happy with our meal. I had my usual vegetable spring rolls, sweet and sour vegetables with chips, and a bit of Joe’s rice, which was delicious. Joe ordered the spicy soup, chicken chop suey, and rice, all of which he thoroughly enjoyed. The service was a little slow, likely due to how busy they were and possibly being short-staffe... It wasn’t the usual good standard of food (my part of the order) as it tasted as if it had butter in the sauce! Not very nice I’m afraid! Please use your usual sweet sauce in it. Joe’s Chicken chop suey was nice he said. The rest of my order ie the chips and rice was lovely; just pity about the sweet n sour veggies!
We had our usual, so much so that the Waitress knows what our order is before we’ve told her!! They know us so well!!! As usual everything was perfect; lovely food, very tasty, good ambience and friendly staff. This restaurant is the best in Gorey and we love it!
My partner and I have been to Ipoh many times, and it’s our top choice in Gorey. He started with the lettuce cups and enjoyed the peppercorn chicken for his main. I chose my favorites—the vegetarian spring rolls and sweet and sour mixed vegetables with chips. The service was excellent, with the staff making every effort to ensure we had a great experience. We absolutely love Ipoh!
The Gorey restaurant is the top Asian dining spot in the area. Run by a family for the past twelve years, they consistently make every guest feel warmly welcomed and well looked after. Yoko, her brother Evan, Eunise, head chef Matthew, and the whole team work together flawlessly to provide an exceptional dining experience.
Charming and cozy restaurant with delicious food and a great selection of gluten-free options, which was perfect for my daughter since she is celiac. The staff were wonderful, and I’d like to give a special mention to our waiter Finn, who went above and beyond for us.

I love this place! I visit a few times a month, and the staff is great—especially the girl with blue hair. Yoko is a fantastic manager who takes the time to chat with everyone. You definitely need to try this restaurant!
