Been to several wineries in the area and this one stuck out. Good wine very nice grounds. Not sure if they usually do it, but they even had complimentary chili, clam chowder, and crackers during our tasting. View all feedback.
What tabitha hoffman wagner doesn't like about Horton Vineyard:
I really wanted to love this place. We buy their wines all the time and love them, So visiting this vineyard was top on our list this year for our girls trip but it was very disappointing. It's a beautiful vineyard and the wine is good but the guy that wasthere doing the tastings was sarcastic and rude. He seemed bored with his job and acted as if we was bothering him. Not at allwhat you expect when going to a vineyard. If your just wanting to drink the wine then go to the store and buy it save your timeand skip the vineyard. If your thinking of going because you want the vineyard experience, don't bother you won't get that.
Staff didn?t seem professional, over priced for tastings, and bought a bottle of sweet white wine but when we got home and opened it, turned out they either bottled or labeled it wrong because it was sweet red. A lot of better choices in the areacompared to this place
2 oz pours. I wasn?t crazy about the wine. The vineyard was beautiful. Friendly staff
On 9/17 we road over an hour and fifteen minutes to Horton on our winery tour to celebrate my daughter?s birthday. When we entered the parking lot, which was empty, we wondered if there was a private event or if they were closed. They were open. Noone greeted us so I asked the young man behind the counter what did we need to do for a tasting. He rudely said I?ll be with youonce I?m done with this pour. In the meantime a woman comes out to help us who was very snarky. When we went over to get outpour I acknowledged to the young man how things has changed. He was exceptionally RUDE!!! Why have a job dealing with people ifyou can?t at least be cordial, respectful and just a decent person. I love the wine there but I will NEVER spend another cent onthe wine from Horton. Was it us a group or African American females that made it okay for you all to treat us all poorly? Whenwe got back in the limo the other ladies commented on their rude behavior. Our limo driver said a woman came out and told herwhere to park like she was holding up parking spaces. There was literally NO ONE there and now I know why. If you want tocontinue to like Horton do not visit in person because their attitude and lack of customer service will make you DISLIKE themand their winery. The worst experience ever!
