Cheeky's Restsurant - Gordo

The concept here is "meat and three," meaning you choose a meat dish along with three sides, which can include veggies or a dessert. The meat options were beef brisket and fried chicken. My wife opted for the fried chicken, while I chose the brisket, and everything was outstanding. We especially loved the purple heirloom beans and collard greens, and the fruit salad was delightful. Even though I was a bit disappointed that we didn't get breakfast, I will definitely return. The atmosphere was fantastic and very welcoming. If you're searching for a politically correct dining experience, this might not be the place for you. The people at nearby tables seemed to know each other and were chatting away, likely after their Bible study groups, but they were all very friendly. We will certainly be back!

Sunday has a special Sunday menu. Fried chicken, western ribs, hamburger steak, fried green tomatoes, collards, peas, jalepeno cornbread,fruit salad and more. Meat and two veg, tea $7.50 . It was a good meal

The food was excellent, and it’s a lovely restaurant to dine in. I will definitely come back!
