Ponram Hotel - Gorad Salem

Reached late due to travel, however the staff managed to make up some good food. Mutton Biriyani is a must here...Mutton omelette was the best ever..... decently priced very good food.

Had been for dinner and mainly i went for Biriyani. The taste was good. Tried the Mutton Omelette, taste was good. One more new dish that i tried was Brain 65, it tasted good. Some of the things i felt not good is They charge extra 10% on food bill for AC charges, i haven't seen anywhere. After GST has been introduced they are not suppose to do this , looks like this is one more way of collecting money. EG: If the Bill amount is 2K we need to shell out 200 rs for AC charges extra. Was wondering its like we pay for food as we ll as the electricity charge too. Non-AC service hall is very average and i am sure everyone wants to go to AC hall. Anyways i don't know if they follow the same in the Dindigul restaurant too. In a way i feel it is costly for the quantity they serve.

Taste s gud but not upto the mark of dindigul ponram . ponram chicken briyani and spl ponram chicken fry s my favourite

There are lot of local non veg specialities in Salem. Ponram is kinda ok. Limited variety. Biriyani is the highlight here. Quantity is little less though for the price band. But can give it a try only Biriyani. Veg biriyani is good too.

Had Diwali 2015 dinner here. Good enough varieties and non-veg and veg items taste are good. But felt little expensive comparing to other popular hotel charges. Quantity of food is good and they prepare as per our request for medium-low-regular spicy foods... friendly staffs.
