Called for Sunday lunch, beautiful tasty food, with generous portions. The service was efficient, and speedy, and the atmostphere was cosy and welcoming. It's a little gem of a place.

This is exactly what a proper village pub should be. It probably looks the same now as it did a decade or two ago, but the owners have kept all the charm and got rid of all the tat. It's in the middle of the village and is the hub of the community. It's like stepping back in time to when you went to the pub regularly and talked to all your friends and neighbours, but sadly a pint no longer costs £1.50. The food menu is great pub grub, like a proper pub should be. And then there's pie night. The legendary pie night. Book ahead or the only pies that'll be left are cheese and onion. Every village should have a Bricklayers Arms.

We went for Sunday Lunch which was very average slow cooked beef for £23 per head for a main course. Pork was £21 and Turkey was £19. At this price it wants to be of a much higher standard.
