Love this hidden gem. It’s a true speakeasy as it’s hard to find and in a surprising location. The tiki inspired drinks are delicious and fun. The setting is great for both an intimate date or a larger party. They have a great outdoor patio with comfy couches and delightful decor. The service is just right as they’re there when you need them, but never rush you. View all feedback.
What Stan M doesn't like about The Imperial:
$19 mediocre drinks behind a dark strip mall with bartenders that make degrading comments. Snarky af bartenders told my girlfriend ever heard of gooogle!! when my she asked about local food rec 's and then ripped on multiple times and laughed in the face of my 65 yr old mother when she said she was from out of state. I guess they were cordial for the last 10 min and gave us some chips that seemed to give us hives after eating.
The bartenders here are incredibly fun and engaging, creating a fantastic atmosphere complemented by amazing cocktails! It's the perfect spot to kick off or wrap up your evening. While they don’t serve food, you can bring your own, and they offer delicious kettle chips to enjoy with your drinks.
I recently visited this bar and had a very negative experience, primarily due to the bartender's rude behavior. From the moment we approached the counter, the bartender's attitude was dismissive and unwelcoming. When we asked for recommendations, we were met with sarcastic remarks instead of helpful suggestions, which made us feel uncomfortable and belittled. The bartender's condescending tone and unnecessary snide comments were unprofessional and really spoiled our evening. This experience left a lasting negative impression of the establishment. Customer service should focus on creating a positive experience, but the bartender's rudeness did the exact opposite. I hope the bar management addresses these issues so that future patrons are treated with the respect and courtesy they deserve. As a frequent traveler and visitor to fine establishments, I can confidently say this place did not live up to its reputation.
When you go on vacation and discover a local gem that treats you like a regular, that’s a victory in my book! My friends and I visited this spot after our hotel bartender recommended it, and it did not disappoint. It has the vibe of a true cocktail bar with a tiki lounge atmosphere. They can really whip up anything you ask for. I ordered a hot toddy because I didn’t realize that Santa Barbara could be chilly. The drink came in these adorable holders. The bartenders were fantastic—super friendly and attentive. We enjoyed the place so much that we even returned for their 10-year anniversary party, complete with a hilarious Tom Selleck invitation! If you're in the area, you should definitely pay them a visit.

NOT VET FRIENDLY I was seriously looking forward to the jungle bird. I am a disabled vet psychiatric service animal. Two time combat and Purple Heart recipient. The host was really rude and turned us away. Under the ADA and California law, state and local governments, businesses, and nonprofit organizations that serve the public generally must allow service animals to accompany people with disabilities in all areas of the facility where the public is normally allowed to go. Please change your policy. There are people have fought for this country and our way of life. They deserve to be treated with dignity.
