I recently dined at a very unique restaurant where the menu board did not have any prices listed. The server who attended to me was very pleasant. I decided to try the three-piece combo which included chicken teriyaki, a California roll, and gyoza. The meal also came with salad, white rice, and miso soup, which was quite a large portion for just around twenty dollars. I was able to easily share it with my son. Overal... View all feedback.
What Claire W doesn't like about Sushi Ai:
I was trying to place a pick up order and was on hold for over 20 minutes. Called back multiple times and no answer. Finally got connected and the employee was extremely rude and short with me while ordering. Also All i wanted to do was cancel out a fish in a roll because i'm allergic and got charged more for that. TERRIBLE customer service. View all feedback.
The food is amazing at this restaurant. Their teriyaki chicken bowl is generous and affordable, and the California roll is delicious. The atmosphere is pleasant too.
I haven't visited this restaurant in a while, but it is a convenient option when nothing else is open or when you're in the mood for some decent Japanese food. However, I had a strange experience with their staff. I ordered a chicken teriyaki bowl for takeout at 9 pm. No problem so far. But when I asked for a to-go cup for water, they gave me a small, lidless clear cup. I requested a normal to-go cup that I could actually use in the car (since I had a long drive ahead), and the cashier vehemently shook her head as if I was trying to steal from the register. I pointed out that they were a to-go only establishment, so why were they reluctant to give me a to-go cup for water? Despite having two staff members watching me closely from just a few feet away, the cashier continued to shake her head. I found this behavior odd, so I decided to cancel my order and requested a refund. I wasn't willing to pay for food when they wouldn't even provide me with water. It was a bizarre experience, to say the least.
Eating out at a restaurant can be for various reasons - convenience, trying new and exotic foods, or experiencing a different culture. However, if a restaurant fails to deliver on any of these aspects, then what is the point? Unfortunately, the restaurant in question falls short in all areas. Their special of Hot Spicy Ramen with a California Roll and free soda was a complete disappointment. The California roll was average, at best. The so-called "free" soda turned out to not be free at all, as it had to be purchased with the daily special. And the final straw was the Hot and Spicy Ramen, which turned out to be Shin Ramen (instant noodles) with a few vegetables thrown in. It is a shame to see a restaurant pass off instant noodles as a cultural or culinary experience, especially at such a high price. Overall, it was a waste of $16. Perhaps they can use the money to buy more instant noodles to continue misleading their customers.
Not really a sushi place. I ordered two rolls. Had a hard time finding the fish. Might be a good place if you don't want raw fish.
Sushi is basic..fine but don't stray off the sushi . Chicken katsu is a nightmare. Just crappy chicken tenders w no.sauce awful
