What User doesn't like about Los Agaves:
Arrange the shrimp for lunch to treat me and could not have been disappointed. Neither the limp soggy vegetables nor one of the 5 rubbery over cooked shrimp had ever seen any wort or a grill I could say....and the corn tortillas were so thick and dry it took half of my drink to throttle a bite. My favorite Mexican place in Goleta and possibly Santa Barbara. I mean, there might be something better, but I'm pretty preoccupied spending time and Tuesday here. I mention Tuesdays for their Taco special offer with street tacos at cheaper prices. They would think that as they are the less glorified and the simple version of their monstrous tacos, these streets tacos are the bees knees, and I could eat 10 of them! Of course they have more to offer, but I am a simple taco girl herself. Don?t fret, I tried different things and they are just as delicious. They offer local beers, house margaritas and even margaritas flights for those 21. Their enchiladas are delicious, I even tried to only one side enchilada one day (so I can pamper strongly in Tacos), but also one side enchilada was great. Every time I've been here, many people were, but fortunately, I could find a table and polite staff who come and bring you everything you need. Chicken, chorizo, carnitas, al pastor and more, meat, you? The chic version and the simple version. Try both or even try them all, salads, burritos, chimichangas and more!
The foods produced with great care and the chips are warm. decent enough Mexican.
Pretty tasty! I'm usually never impressed by the Mexican food choices in Cali. Being from Houston, there is no shortage of amazing Mexican food at home. Los Agaves has given me faith that West Coast Mexican food can indeed be good. I kept it simple... Got steak tacos with a side of rice and black beans. They brought out the wrong beans initially, but replaced them quickly. The meat was great! Perfectly medium with a nice char on the outside... And they gave a great portion as well. The rice and beans were your standard Mexican fare, but still tasty. The salsas also were fresh and delicious. I'd definitely come back. Thanks for restoring my faith!
We went for dinner last Friday and we are a party of 8. It was super busy and luckily there was a table inside that I grabbed. It was our first time here. We all enjoyed our dinner and we love the chips and different flavored salsas. The food was delicious and fresh tasting. There were staff members were very helpful and regularly came by to see if we needed more chips or anything else.
