Mcdonald's - Golden

We stopped here on our way out to Vancouver Island and on the way back! It is in pretty rough shape...overflowing garbage, leaking garbage tracks all over the parking lot, bad smells! Slow service! I was approached by a vagrant in the parking lot in the middle of the night that left me uncomfortable.

I might have been able to forgive a dining room full of dirty tables due to the busy line up at the till, but with garbage spilling out every trash can in and outside this establishment, it was shocking and simply filthy! I asked for a cloth to wipe off our table and finally had to go to my car to get wet wipes. I felt bad as people were looking for tables with full trays of food so I washed all the tables in the restaurant. Come on guys. Take a little pride in your work. This looks like a fairly new building but wow, there is evidence everywhere that no one cares about it. I felt embarrassed for the folks working there. Clearly something is going terribly wrong here. I advise you to go somewhere else!

Experience at drive-thru: no line, no cars, but still we were waiting for somebody to notice us for a very long time. Our order (2 value burgers) took almost 15 minutes to complete on a quiet week day evening, even though we could see through the window that they are fully (maybe even over) staffed. Going inside does not help, the staff taking the order at the cashier was not helpful at all. Waste of time.

Stopped at McDonald's today on our way through for breakfast. It as absolutely filthy. There was food and garbage all over the floor and the bathrooms were disgusting. There seemed to be only two young girls working and they were running off their feet. Definitely not a place we will ever stop again.
