Gold Mine Cupcakes - Golden

Um. All I can say is I agree with the name. The turtle cupcake was to die for.I'd usually leave a longer review, but what can I say? You walk in, your mouth waters, you try to leave without buying something, you fail, and your mind is blown. So. Good.

Maybe I came on a bad day? The frosting was good, but the cake itself unfortunately very dry and lacked in flavor.I had the mint chocolate, red velvet and the cookies and cream. Surprisingly the little Andes mint on top of the mint chocolate had more flavor than all three of the cupcakes combined. A little disappointed as they were pricey.

Definitely recommend stopping in to grab a cupcake! My husband and I stopped in on a Saturday afternoon and I’m so glad that we did. He got the red velvet while I got the carrot cake. Both were delicious and tasted freshly made. The girl who helps us was incredibly sweet.

We had a delicious experience at Gold Mine cupcakes! My wife, son and I went for the first time after eating nearby and it was a fantastic way to get dessert! We ordered a birthday cake, carrot cake, Turtle delight and finally my son ordered a fun kings cupcake which had a chance at a prize a free cupcake if you find a toy inside! I ate the majority of the carrot cake cupcake. It was flavorful, the cream cheese frosting and spices were very well balanced and cake itself was a lovely tender carroty scrumptious experience. My wife had the birthday cake cupcake and it was a little dry overall but still had good flavor. My son loved his kings cake and devoured enough to reveal that we won a free cupcake. He loved finding the prize. We ate the chocolatey rich Turtle Delight cupcake later in the evening and it was rich and moist! One other thing to shout out was that the employees were great and very nice with wonderful customer service. We will be back in the future.
