Chris was a great server. The ambiance was a little loud, but not too bad. I had the Sea Bass, which was hot and flakey, but maybe just a little too soaked in butter. My wife had the shrimp which was very good. We had the crunchy coconut shrimp appetizer which was awesome. Chart House has always been a little spendy, which is why we only go there on special occasions. View all feedback.
What Brucer doesn't like about Chart House:
We have dined here several times over the last few years; usually just the two of us. This last time we had a table for 4 with some friends. The view was great. Went downhill from there. Two of us ordered prime rib, medium-rare. After waiting quite a while for our dinner the waiter told us that the kitchen was having problems with the prime rib. We could have the prime rib medium and we said fine since we were hungry... View all feedback.
Yesterday was our 55th Wedding Anniversary. I noted it on our Open Table reservation and the hostess asked if we were celebrating anything when we arrived. No one mentioned our anniversary again or congratulated us or thanked us for celebrating it at The Chart House.
We have been to this CH several times. This occasion was my Spouse's birthday. The restaurant was not very busy, but there were only 2 wait staff. Because of this, our waiter was unable to attend to us in anything near to quick. Part of that problem was that our table was on one side of the room and all of his other tables were om the opposite side. How that happened, I have no idea, as the other waiter had all of the other other tables on our side. Of course, while he was busy on the other side of the room, it was difficult to get his attention. We understood this, and were patient. However, he should not have been put into this position. I know it is difficult to find employees nowadays, but a third wait person would have alleviated this problem. Please know, he did an excellent job.

Very disappointing experience from not being greeted by a host or hostess, being seated by a waiter that had no idea of our request or special occasion, lukewarm bisque, $26 cocktail served in a chipped glass, one of our medium rare steaks was raw, overcooked lava cakes. $270 later, meh.
I had made a reservation a week in advance for a School of Mines graduation dinner for my daughter. We arrived on time for the reservation but was told there was no table available. We asked when we might be expected to be seated and we're told “we don't know”. After severall additional inquiries we were told “we can not asks the prior quest to leave so you will need to wait”. We are now approaching 1 hr past our reservation time and were told we could be seated. They placed us in the worst seating possible next to a boiling fireplace with seating for 4. We had made a reservation for 5 and frankly had a better seat in the bar area. We of course left and went to a more reputable restaurant in Denver (who honor reservations for the graduation meal. I am a business executive that has traveled the world and has visited several Charthouse locations across the globe and this is the singular worst experience I have ever had. Avoid this Charthouse in Genesee, CO if you have a reservation and expect it to be honored.
