One of the pleasures of travel is to enjoy the cuisine of the area you are in. If you are on the Gold Coast and can't travel, you can experience the taste sensations of north-western traditional Chinese by dining here. This restaurant is located in Davenport Street in he heart of Gold Coast's Chinatown. You won't find a lot of these dishes in your average Chinese restaurant. The place is a victim of its own success. They either have the new owners or all of a sudden decided to change prices (by reducing quantity served). Unpleasantly, not all the menus are updated and so you order using the “old” menu and when you question served quantity, staff refer to the “new” menu. In general, quantity of served food is reduced by about 20%.Also, ever since restaurant relocated across the street to... View all feedback.
The flavors of every dish at this restaurant are absolutely delicious. We have not found anywhere else that can compare to the quality of these dishes. The portions are generous and the prices are reasonable. We have been here multiple times and always order the charcoal grilled chicken skewers, handmade stir-fry noodle dishes, and the braised eggplant (which is my favorite). Everything on the menu is tasty.
This is one of my favorite restaurants in Gold Coast! It is very rare to find a halal chinese restaurant in Gold Coast and I am so excited to find this place. The food is amazing! Particularly the lamb skewer. My other must-order food are spicy lamb fried noodle and beef soup (particularly in winter). My friend order a spicy chicken and it’s really good too! It is only 3 mins walk from the Southport tran station and after that you can stop by at Cavill Avenue for some delicious dessert!!
Dined with a friend at this venue on the spur of the moment 1 night this week after work. I enjoyed tea and he had a Chinese yogurt drink which he highly recommended. We eat lamb and a mushroom garlic combination and rice. Food was served at the table. English is certainly not the first language of the staff but the menu had accurate pictures and is very descriptive. we had no difficulty in making our needs a desires known and they had no difficulty in serving what we wanted in a speedy fashion. All food is fresh cooked to order and served with a smile. Not licensed but i noticed people bring bottles of wine no corkage charged and wine glasses supplied. I was truly impressed with this venue. Food serves were large and tasty. Not the place for a fine dining experience but does not try to be. Was truly great local food place $40.00 for dinner truly remarkable. Definitely be back. Give it a try for a friendly local place to eat.
This restaurant offers delicious food at affordable prices. The dishes are served hot and quickly, and there is a wide variety of options to choose from. It is definitely a great place to eat.
Affordable and delicious Uighur cuisine. The meat skewers are reminiscent of Russian shashlik. The noodle dishes are beautifully prepared with a good variety to choose from. The menu is easy to navigate with accurate photos of each dish. Perfect for those who enjoy spicy food. The atmosphere is pleasant and casual, with BYO option and no corkage charge. Make sure to come with a big appetite, as you won't leave disappointed!
