We came on a Thursday as there are ten dollar cocktails and ten dollar meals. The food itself was pretty good, as were the cocktails. Unfortunately, the service was terrible. At the very beginning we got to order our drinks, which was fine. We then had to wait ten minutes to order food. The drinks came out after half an hour, which was odd as it wasn't very busy. Eventually the food came and it was good! The problem... View all feedback.
What Dolly Bergstrom doesn't like about Vintage Velvet:
Visited VV for a friends birthday. We had a room reserved at the back of the building.Great funky decor, however it became very warm inside-needed fans or air con installed. The tapas/food served as part of the party was simple but delicious. The outdoor garden area was lovely. Like sitting in a cottage garden View all feedback.
We went on a Saturday night for a friend's birthday. She had booked an allocated section inside. We ordered to eat the meatball pizza and the arancini balls which totalled $35. We thought this was very fair. Both were incredibly delicious and came out from the kitchen very quickly. Everyone in the group was very happy with their food. The cocktail martinis we ordered were delicious too and well priced, not too expensive. We shared numerous rounds of them. Recommend this place, it was nice
The place is massive and kind of funky, its sort of a cross between an early 80 rental with op shop furniture and bar. Apparently it was once really busy... On a Saturday lunch there was only one other table in the entire place. We ordered some cocktails and some beers, some pork belly and squid tapas. The beer was wet and the cocktails were okay, not great but not bad. The squid had a slightly odd fish smell to it but was good apart from that. The pork belly was tasty but dry, really dry; at a guess had been sitting around for a few days and reheated in a microwave. Okay possibly too harsh but you get the point... The service was pretty good. The prices would have been on point if it was really good.I didn't realise at the time but they somehow managed to stuff up the bill so we didnt end up paying for one of the tapas. On reflection it was about right as I would have been upset if I had to pay full price for that food.Would possibly go again just for a quite drink, wouldn't order food.
A shame really.Lovely place, good food.Would have been highly enjoyable if we were looked after properly.Food took forever to come.Wait staff never around and when we could manage to get service it took 20-30 mins to receive each item.We even had trouble paying as no one wanted to come back and collect the payment. Don't you hate it when that happens.Unfortunately we will never return. The staff and management are wasting what could be a great place
The food was terrible the service was just as bad and the staff didn't even care when we were trying to explain about the food. Could have cooked it myself better Would never return
My wife and I were looking for a cheap eat. After walking around in Broadbeach with plenty of $10 offers we found this place via social media. Decided against a $10 meal here as the main menu was not only affordable but very appealing. "From the Farm" share plate was cooked to perfection and the service was amazing, thanks Makenzie. We will definitely be back.
