Friendly staff, lively atmosphere and great tasting food at a reasonable price. We go to this restaurant on a regular basis and it never fails to impress. We have eaten at many Thai restaurants on the Gold Coast and this is by far the best. Ask for the brown coconut rice, a tasty alternative to the white coconut rice which you won't find on other Thai menus. Be sure to book on the weekend as it can be quite busy. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Thai MagiK:
We went on a sunday night. There were two other tables beside ours. Our table seemed to get forgotten. After sitting there for 30mins had to wave down a waiter to order. Entrees were ok! Staff was friendly but they were too busy talking between themselves. My mains took another 45 minutes after we had our entrees. Prices are a bit more than average Thai prices. We ordered yellow chicken curry and that was ok but the basil beef was like nothing I have ever tasted in all my years of cooking and eating Thai, it had an herb in this dish, that made it inedible and I told the owner and she didn’t care, for 2 of us with 2 drinks as well as a shared entree, it cost $115.00 Will not be coming back here ever.
Booked in a week in advance for a birthday dinner. Dining was for my wife and I, babysitter organised. Attended and was informed 5 minutes prior to booking time that they had double booked us and we could now not have dinner. No one contacted us prior to this attending. Terrible service. No apology. Would not recommend especially if booking prior. Average. Ruined an evening. Very unprofessional. Extremely disappointing experience.
This is my local place to go for Thai food, so tasty and such amazing flavours, probably tried everything now on the menu , the service is always friendly and helpful .
Thai Magik provides excellent service in a charming atmosphere. The restaurant offers beautifully presented, freshly prepared dishes that are delicious. Conveniently located on the corner of Stevens St and Kerr Avenue, there is plenty of parking available. Open for lunch and dinner from Wednesday to Sunday, it comes highly recommended.
The food at this restaurant is consistently delicious. We ordered the 4 person Banquet, which was more than enough for us, and we even had some leftovers to take home. At $39 per person, it was a great value. The service was excellent and very friendly.
