This is very simple food done right everything was delicious , noodle soups were perfect everything cooked how it should be as spicy as you like with that bubbling hot thin layer of fat from the rendered meat which is full of flavour. The fried chicken as a side is again perfect a simple dish done throughout Asia that has been ruined by many restaurants calling it popcorn chicken that can't come close to anything sli... What User doesn't like about Taiwan Dami:
This restaurant offers authentic Taiwanese cuisine at affordable prices. We enjoyed the 3 cup chicken and stir-fried vegetables with oyster sauce, both were delicious. If you're looking for genuine Chinese dishes, rather than the typical Aussie Chinese style found at RSLs, then this is the place to visit. View all feedback.

Came across this wondering through the 'China Town ' in progress. My favourite is the Satay....possibly the best i 've had, fresh tasting; seasonal vegetables, a good hit of spice and available in an excellent value lunch combo (with rice, prawn crackers and a drink). They have about 10 other options on the same lunch combo...
I have eaten at this restaurant a couple of times before, and enjoyed the food. In fact the food was so good that i have recommended it to others, but after eating the meal today I will not recommend it again. For 2 we ordered spring rolls and samosa. Not a good choice the Spring rolls were not home made but were the frozen variety from the supermarket, as were the samosas. Spring rolls about 2inches , approx 5 cm width1/4 inch, 1.2cm. Samosas about the same. They were over cooked and tasteless. A bad choice but my companion is not familiar with ordering Asian food. This was their choice and the following my choice. Won Ton Soup very small bowl which was not to the standard that I am used to, nor was the taste. The other dish was flat noodles which were overcooked and sticky and quite a small serve. Served with these noodles were 4 wontons and hot chilli sauce had been poured over them. Big mistake, my companion could not eat them because of the chilli sauce. When I ordered I asked for NO CHILLI. Water is supplied and is help yourself from the fridge for a carafe and glasses. I would not say that this is a cheap Asian restaurant, the $26.00 dollars would have been more wisely spent having Yum Cha, Korean, or Vietnamese from one of the many restaurants in Southport.
Good customer services n friendly staff! But the store actually is not easy to spot, hidden in a lane. The food overall is nice but not really that so authentic of Taiwanese food. It’s still not more mixture with the Chinese heavier taste( I mean like more salty n spicy). But if you do really miss the Taiwanese food in Australia, it’s a cozy place to give it a try. We’ve tried beef noodles n some deep fried snacks, the broth n the beef is nice. Just a bit too salty to me as a Taiwanese taste:P
I tried the spicy braised beef noodle soup and it was delicious! I left feeling very satisfied. The broth was flavorful and the beef was tender. It had just the right amount of spice. I also had a refreshing lemon tea. I sat outside but there is also indoor seating available. It's a small place with limited seating, but definitely worth a try if you're craving good noodle soup. I noticed a lot of people enjoying the smoked salmon with rice, so it must be a popular choice!
