Subway - Gold Coast

Generally I love subway for a light healthy lunch but oh my, the sandwich served up at the Australia fair kiosk was not made with care. The sandwich artist couldn’t have cared less, shewas aggressive and rude not only to the customers but also to the young staff. Overall a scary experience, typical of Southport these days.

For my son's Birthday Party I ordered a platter for the kids and parents. Platters are $48 and $56. I ordered the 56 and received the 48 which was not disclosed until half hour before we were at the party location. I was told to come passed and pick up the differnt subs. I said too late just get the manager to ring me on monday. One and half weeks later i finally get a txt message from the owner. See below: Good morning Rob, this is Sheldy from Subway Southport. Firstly I would like to apologise for not getting in contact with you earlier. I've just been so busy that I haven't been able to prioritise this situation and I deeply apologise for that! I believe my staff member misread your order form that I had prepared you a Classic platter instead of a Favourites platter on the 7th of September. The difference between these two are the Veggie Delight with Avocado and the Chicken Teriyaki. Is that correct? If there were any other problems may you please let me know so I can deal with that as well. As I believe that that was the only problem, until further notice, we can refund you with the $7 difference of the two platters at a time that suits you so that you only are paying for what you got, nothing more, nothing less. I have asked the owner to take my 7 dollars and purchase some integrity.

To tell you the truth I 'm not a great fan of fast food outlets. This Subway franchise is located right in the Food Court of the huge Australia Fair shopping complex. Its neighbours include McDonalds and KFC and a number of Chinese, Indian and indeterminate ethnic food outlets. But where THIS Subway stood out, for me, was the superb 6 wholemeal breast-of-chicken $7.55) on freshly scooped avocado sub, put in the microwave and served piping hot. The servers couldn 't understand why I didn 't need mayo, other vegetables or, indeed, any other options on offer. The chicken strips were tender, moist and utterly enjoyable. The avocado $1.00 extra)was more than adequate as a healthy substitute for butter or margarine so for a grand total of $8.55 I received a richly satisfying, and completely healthy, lunch. This Subway shares seating in the Food Court with all its neighbours so there is no space designated specifically for Subway customers. No problem: people watching is an enjoyment in its own right!

Ferry road Subway is a good stop for lunch in the run. It's clean and staff are always very friendly. The food is the usual subway salads, wraps and rolls. I mostly have the wrap and find this very satisfying and delicious.

Went to subway and they had no bread left... Was very disappointing. the girl manning the store was also very rude about it. Worst subway experience.
