What User doesn't like about Poolside Cafe At Island:
The service was slow, and my crushed avocado arrived cold, with bacon that I didn't request or want. It took 35 minutes to get my order, even though the restaurant wasn't busy. The chef even swore while in the kitchen, and after that incident, they seemed to have disappeared. $6 for a coffee and they only half fill the cup, waste of time and money
Went and had a buffet dinner. At $35 a head it was terrible, nothing was signed so you didn't know what you were eating, and when you ask the staff what was what, they couldn't even tell us. There was no real choice for desert, no ice cream for kids, nothing. A lot of the food was deep fried and over cooked. DO NOT GO THERE FOR ANYTHING!!!! A big let down since new owners and changes have been put into place. We are regular visitors to Couran Cove and have seen it go down hill in a big way over the last few years.
Very bad service waited over an hour for a burger and fries then when it dose arrive it's not what was ordered
Omg food was absolutely disgusting, NO JOKE! I was really looking forward to the buffet which they advertise on their website. Only to be told it didn't exist! I wasnt the only customer their specifically for the buffet. Waitress who informed us was very blunt and literally had no idea about anything on the menu.Anyway... waited almost an hour for food (the place wasnt even busy!!! Garlic pizza was smothered with garlic, dry and burnt. My med rare steak came out burnt on the outside and raw in the middle! Trust me when I say RAW, it was more of a blue steak which was burnt on the outside!!! I can only conclude since being a Cook that it was indeed still frozen. The tempura prawns weren't even cooked properly! Batter wasnt crispy just soggy!!! How does that even happen?So be warned, food is ridiculously overpriced and you'd be better off bringing your own food!
Great coffee, fast service, but management ran out of many bar options!On 6th Jan, when we arrived, there were no beer taps on, despite on the menu and many of the bottled beers were out of stock. The bar had run out of vodka on night of 7th and was not restocked the next arvo, leaving little option 4 cocktails by the pool.Poor staff are clearly distressed about the poor management leading them 2 have 2 deal with many disgruntled customers.
