Located on the first floor of the newly renovated Northcliffe Surf Life Saving Club, this bistro features an open-kitchen design. To enter, guests must show a photo ID in accordance with Queensland's Liquor and Gaming laws. Access to the bistro is via a winding staircase or a small lift for those with mobility limitations. The friendly and helpful staff serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner, with specials displayed and reservations recommended on weekends and during school holidays. Joining the club offers a minimum 10% discount on food and drinks. The menu is extensive, offering seafood, pizzas, burgers, salads, Asian dishes, and children's options. The wine prices are reasonable for the Gold Coast. Cash or credit cards are accepted at the cashier, where you place your order and state your table number for tableside delivery. The atmosphere is lively and beachy, with the sound of the surf nearby. A previous favorite dish was the Chicken Teriyaki, and the crumbed lamb cutlets with gravy and ample chips and vegetables were also enjoyable. Lunch during the off-season proves to be the perfect time to avoid the crowds and noise.
There is a wide variety of options at this restaurant, including comfort food like roasts and pizza, as well as Asian cuisine. The staff was helpful when selecting a wine and the service was prompt. Located on the beach, there are also pokies and sports shown on the big screen. Overall, I was not disappointed with my experience at this restaurant.
