We had a fantastic birthday dinner. The food was fresh, crisp, and delicious. Our waitress, Barbara (we believe that was her name), provided exceptional service! She really went above and beyond to help us celebrate my birthday by offering complimentary ice cream and sparkling drinks when she noticed we hadn’t ordered dessert because we were too full from the wonderful food. Overall, it was a well-prepared meal. Your... View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Glass Dining Lounge:
Food is good but not wow. It’s hard to grab waiter’s attention and feel like they’re a bit understaffed. I’ll rate a 7/10 for food and a 5/10 for service. With such restaurant, I expect a bit more than that especially when I chose it for my hens night. Would not come back unfortunately View all feedback.
To start with, the customer service was terrible. The waitress was downright rude and displayed a complete lack of manners. It was clear that customer satisfaction was not a priority for them. Most restaurants typically offer the choice of still or sparkling water, but at Glass, we had no options. There was no water on the table, and we had to repeatedly ask the waitress for it or go to the counter ourselves. At no point were we offered any type of water. We ordered a bottle of champagne, and the waitress merely left it in a bucket without serving us. My friend had to call out to her for a glass of rosé, only for her to curtly ask, “Which one?” We were all taken aback by her tone. Despite the beautiful view, it was incredibly hot inside the restaurant. Guests were visibly uncomfortable and complaining about the heat, yet the place was not even full. I asked the waitress if they could turn up the air conditioning, but she rather rudely informed me it was already at its maximum. I had to suggest turning on the fan, which she said was already on, until I pointed out the one directly above us that was turned off. After that, she acknowledged the oversight. When it was time for us to sing "Happy Birthday," I asked for the cake to be brought out, and the staff surprisingly inquired whether I wanted it cut or whole. Who sings "Happy Birthday" to a cut cake? I was shocked they even asked that! To top off our terrible experience, when it came time to settle the bill, we were charged an extra approximately $650. The manager couldn't clarify who had paid for what; he only had receipts for the amounts my friends had paid. Despite our concerns about the remaining charges, he insisted we had to cover them. We later realized they were charging me for extra guests and counted children as adults. In my experience with other restaurants, there's usually some leeway with bookings, allowing for a few extra or fewer guests. Interestingly, I had spoken to the manager at the beginning, and he had said, “Let’s wait a couple of minutes to count how many people are here before serving.” Overall, my experience at Glass was abysmal. From the appalling service to the uncomfortable atmosphere, the restaurant failed to meet even the most basic standards. I’m particularly upset because it was my 40th birthday, and my friends shared in my disappointment. Shame on you, Glass Dining Restaurant!

I have eaten here before and it was nice. This time was very different. The staff were incredibly unorganised and under trained. The service staff were not attentive, it took about an hour to get the first round of drinks and the restaurant was quiet at this time. It felt like he was avoiding us and just chatting to the other table. All of our mains and entrees/starters were just dropped at the table at the same time, we complained and they did nothing about it, we had to just eat quickly or waste the food. The bill was also incorrect and we got a credit card surcharge even though we paid on debit cards. The staff didn’t care about our experience, no one checked if we were happy with the food. Very poor service and experience considering the price you pay we will not be going back.
A Waterfront restaurant that serves beautiful food. 4 of us selected off the set 3 course lunch menu which was great value and fabulous food with decent choices. I would go as far to say, probably the best barramundi dish I've been served, and served hot, hot. Staff pleasant and attentive. Definitely a top restaurant. Meal type: Lunch Price per person: A$80–100
