One diner had a pleasant meal with a friend, enjoying the location near the Broadwater despite average food quality. Another reviewer described a disastrous experience with long wait times and cold dishes. Several patrons praised the good food and friendly staff, with one recommending the seafood pizza as good value. Overall, the restaurant seems to offer a variety of dishes, practical location, and friendly service, making it a suitable choice for comfort food on a cool night.
Stopped in quite late on a Tuesday night (staying at Meriton across the road). I'm normally a very early eater but due to a very busy stressful day it was well after 8pm when I got there. Very indecisive, I eventually went for the Veal Vinobianco (maybe? Veal with wine, lemon and butter) It was YUMMO!! Just what I needed. And the side the salad (albeit "just a side salad") was perfect. The blend of delicious olive oil and seasoning was ! Then I had dessert...hmmm not sure what to make of "crepes with lemon" I ordered. Now I'm sure it said crepes not crepe or pancake for that matter (and yes there is a difference)So this quite thick dense pancake came out with what appeared to be some type of strawberry topping (which looked like it had been put on then scrapped off!?) not much lemon and a very burnt bottom. Sounds delicious you say sarcastically? Lol...funnily enough it tasted ok. And I ate it all! Would I order it again? I'm not sure Had it not been for the fact that it was very late and I did order the crepes after the kitchen was closed (waitress had advised that the Kitchen closed at 8:45 but didn't tell me I couldn't order them) I probably would have sent it back! But it's was tasty and I ate it and I paid for it! So I can't really complain! I do recommend you stop in and give them a try. I'll be back on next visit!
My pasta dish was swimming in OIL not a trace of butter to comme d it It was a mushroom cream pasta dish After mentioning to waitperson that the oil in which it had been cooked tasted RANCID, I was told that couldn't possibly be so Needless to say I did not consume my pasta dish, and left the restaurant f foethwith
I ate at this restaurant with my daughter. The service was good & quick. The food was tasty, not the best Italian I have had but nice.
Recently moved into area. After reading some reviews we thought we'd see for ourselves. It's a cool night arrived 7:25pm 14 people in a captivity restaurant of 40. Wine on table by 7:34 ordered special pizza and spaghetti bolognese. Absolutely delicious and on table at 7:52. Great comfort food on a cool night. Pizza was full of chicken breast and avocado full to the edge. Large serve of spaghetti bolognese hot and delicious. Julia waitress was polite and attentive. Cost for large pizza large spaghetti (too much so full for two) a peroni, glass merlot 2 glasses of Sauvignon $73 bargain. Definitely recommend and will return with family and friends
Ordered seafood pizza for takeaway for two.....we quite enjoyed it....typical Italian pizza very tasty and filling.....only $12 I thought it was good value and the waitress very friendly
