I'm glad we tried this little restaurant. We did a pickup. They have basic American flare choices. The staff was very pleasant. The burger was tasty, but cooked a bit uneven, as well the buns were crazy dry and crispy. Chicken tenders were good, and they have steak fries. Onion rings were perfectly cooked. I can’t say whether the food was good or bad since I left before I had a chance to order. Took a table on the patio and the waitress said she would be out as soon as she could. Over tgg he e next twenty minutes she made on visit to the patio and waited on one table. Golfers were stopping in to refill their beer coolers and occupying all of the waitstaff. What a treasure just around the corner! Great little cafe at Mountain Brook Golf course. I am rarely shocked by how good something is, as I am often disappointed in food. From the warm tortilla chips Smokey salsa to Mama's green chili pork burrito I was blown away. I understand Mama is in the kitchen and guards these recipes. She is a gem what a cook! Don't miss the homemade kettle potato chips, their smoked chicken tacos or the BLT. I can't wait to explore the rest of this menu.. but I can't stop thinking about that burrito..OMG.
Their website says to call in for menu items because they’re working on a new menu. Called in and spoke with Francie. I asked how I may get the menu items, to which she responded to go on the website. I advised that it says to call in and she rudely suggested either refreshing the page or to go in and take a picture of their menu. I live 1.5 hours away and was trying to plan a birthday brunch with a group in 2 weeks but needed to have a menu for everyone’s approval. Disappointed in the lack of customer service. Didn’t bother arguing as it’s evident what we could expect if we did go there.
Excellent service and excellent meal!! We will return.
Cute little place! Good food, great service, very affordable prices and nice view. It's in by a golf course and not very easy to find, but worth the trip!
