What Carola Stadler doesn't like about Taverna Vardiola:
Unfortunately we were very disappointed. The atmosphere is really nice, which is why the anticipation was even greater. We had the octopus in vinegar as a starter. The octopus was really tough and hard... really cooked to death. This hurts when you know how buttery octopus can taste when cooked/fried properly. Additionally, it was way too vinegar-heavy. Visited at the end of September and it was amazing! Wonderful service, delicious food and so lovely to chat to the owner who had visited Bath where we are from! Closed over the winter for renovations but back open in April. Highly recommended.
