Contribute FeedbackThe Bell has become a point of divergence among diners, offering both convenience and a touch of disappointment. While some patrons found the menu diverse and the service congenial, others lamented the lackluster food and disheartening atmosphere, marked by slow service and an awkward table setup. Seasonal chill and noise levels also detracted from enjoyment, particularly for those dining with children. Though many visitors recall fond memories of earlier visits, recent experiences have sparked calls for improvement, especially in ambiance and service responsiveness. The Bell remains a familiar choice for some, yet its allure seems to wane.
Tried the other pub in the village last time and this was so much better.
We were a little disappointed food was okay but not anything spectacular. This is my second visit recently but was a regular a few years ago when food, service and value was very good. Neither recent visits anything particularly memorable which is a shame.
We chose the Bell more for the convenience of its location, but were very pleased we did. The menu was varied and good for carnivores and vegetarians alike, food was good, service was very friendly and overall it was a successful get together. We will return!
Everything was ‘OK’ but nothing special. Travelled to get there and we felt that it wasn’t worth the drive for a course meal for two with wine and when we got home, we had a snack because we will still hungry. Very weird ‘relish/chutney/sauce’ served with the cheese the flavour and texture was unpalatable.
Experience was very pleasant. One thing to mention is a certain part of the meal was complained about to two members of staff and when leaving we were asked how it all was, they lady who asked us said she had no idea we had not had any feedback about the complaint and gave us some money off.
