Our selections were all excellent - Caesar salad, goat... read more Tuesday evening we visited Samuel's Bistro near Goderich for the first time. It was well worth the visit. Our selections were all excellent - Caesar salad, goat cheese salad, braised beef ribs, pork ribs and Canadiana salmon. The dining room was beautiful. The service was outstanding. We will certainly return again on our next visit to Goderich. A memorable anniversary dinner.

La nourriture était e... read more Nous avions une chambre à l'hôtel et c'est sans hésiter que nous avons dîné au Samuels bistro car la decoration nous semblait sympathique. La nourriture était excellente mais dommage que le repas ai été gâché par un service expéditif, il n'était pourtant que 19:30... Le serveur (qui s'occupe également de la réception de l'hôtel) a même oublié une partie de la commande... Le plat principal a été présenté alors que nous n'avions pas encore terminé l'entrée... Idem pour l'addition !! Le restaurant (qui se veut de bon niveau) ne propose ni expresso, ni digestif.

We couldn't figure out 'where' the food is cooked but it was tasty and fresh and well presented.Breakfast was continental- buffet but enough to get you started. Coffee was less than good though! A better quality coffee might be offered given the cost of rooms.

Excellent little hotel with wonderful food. The room was clean and cozy with a view of the river. Very friendly and accommodating staff. The restaurant wasn't busy as it is not the tourist season but that didn't stop them from offering a great selection of food and providing a lovely meal. I real... read more The restaurant wasn't busy as it is not the tourist season but that didn't stop them from offering a great selection of food and providing a lovely meal. I really enjoyed the tomato jam at breakfast & the porridge (really great) and our evening meal of turkey was delightful - as mentioned we enjoyed the local (well, almost local) wine from Grand Bend (at dinner only!!!).
