Fischbrathuette in der Fischerbucht

The men in our party discovered this restaurant while searching for another. It is located just off the quay for the ferry from Altmunster. A local had suggested to us that we take salad with us as they only serve fish/lemon, lovely black bread and garlic olive oil. There are no vegetables, salad or potatoes or desserts. We sat down and they said do you want fish and we said yes and three minutes later we were given a fish each in plastic paper and put on the table with a fork - fresh from the BBQ close by. Perfectly cooked, crispy skin. Beautiful surroundings. The best meal of our Austrian holiday so far. We are planning on a return visit on our last day in Gmunden it was so good.

They make only grilled fish. Fresh. Incredible! They serve it on paper smiling brightly at you. Homy and friendly atmosphere. The restaurant has a stunning lake view. Must visit if you are in this area! As far as I understand, opened only in summer.

Es gibt keinen besseren Platz um ausgezeichnet gegrillten Fisch auf ganz einfache Art und Weise zu genießen. Zusätzlich hat man einen perfekten Ausblick auf den Traunsee und Traunstein.

Was braucht man mehr als einen leckeren Fisch, Zitrone und ein gutes Stück Brot. Wer braucht schon 15 Hauptspeisen oder Beilagen, wenn das was es ist einfach passt. So ist es Tradition in der Gegend, schon seit immer. Danke an das top Fischerbuchtteam. Wer das Konzept nicht versteht, kann sich gerne an seine Systemgastronomie seines Vertauens wenden.

Einfach, aber sehr gut. Der Bratfisch war köstlich.
