We had a fantastic dinner here after a lovely walk around the nearby waterfalls. The service was very friendly and efficient, and the food was some of the best pub cuisine we've had. The steak and ale pie was excellent, as was the corned beef pie. I would definitely eat here again! View all feedback.
What Del B doesn't like about The Angel:
Food was very presentable visually look very nice but taste 2 stars out of 5 the chips wasn't the suggestion need to change the oil maybe as they were old potato's and there needs to be more seasoning personally other then that great place to stop for a drink staff very friendly and give us a list what they didn't have which showed promise staff are 5 stars A for effort View all feedback.
We stayed overnight at the pub in our campervan, and had a great experience. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, especially since we hadn’t made a reservation. They managed to find space for us and our two dogs on a busy night, which was really appreciated. The menu offered a nice variety of vegetarian and vegan options alongside the standard fare. We’re definitely hoping to make this trip again in the future.
The food is fantastic, and the staff is particularly friendly. They even allow dogs, which is a great perk! Overall, it’s an incredible place and definitely one of our favorites. The price per person is around £20–30.
