I was not impressed with the reheated rice and the house special fried rice at this restaurant. The overall experience was very disappointing, and I will not be ordering from here again.
I haven't been to this Chinese restaurant in many years as I have tried all the others within a 3-mile radius of Abbeydale. The usual one we go to in Hucclecote is good, but we have tried New Cantonese twice recently and we were impressed. The food is delicious, not greasy at all, and full of flavor. This will be our new favorite spot to go to.
We have had disappointing experiences with Chinese takeout in the past, so we decided to try something new. The exterior of the restaurant and the interior might not be very appealing, but the staff gave us a warm welcome. The chef even came out to speak to us. They had all the necessary food safety certificates and the food was amazing. It smelled delicious and tasted even better. The sweet and sour balls were not overcooked, and the chow mein was very flavorful. The ribs were also very meaty. We will definitely be returning. Thank you for a lovely meal and great service.
The food quality was outstanding, and the driver was friendly and prompt as well. The Dee Pfannkuchen featured juicy shredded duck, though the hoisin sauce was a bit thin; however, it had a fantastic flavor. The beef chow mein was packed with flavor, and the pork in black bean sauce was delicious, with tender meat and a lovely pepper sauce. Overall, a delightful dining experience!
