Drift - Gloucester

Hands down the best bar in the area. It is newly renovated, excellent bar tenders and live music. I recommend their espresso martini. You can?t go wrong at Drift.

On two occasions the staff were so rude that me or my friends do not want to come back anymore. It 's unfortunate because the espresso martins were so good The first time I came, it was busy. We tried to bring a birthday cake in since it was one of our friend 's birthdays. I can understand the establishment not wanting us to eat it, but the bartender refused to let us even walk in with the cake. Once we got in, the bartenders were ignoring me whenever I made drink requests. At some point, someone at my table broken their glass. I went to the bartender to tell him we had a broken glass and needed some help. But the bartender shrugged and continued to make drinks. So I had to pick up the glass with my barehands then wipe down the table with napkins. When I went to show the bartender, he still shrugged and didn 't care I was handling broken glass. We still wanted to try the bar again. So we went this Sunday at 10pm. The bouncer said they were no longer letting anyone in for the rest of the night . . . but it closes at 1am. There were barely anyone in there and he said it was too full

Terrible place to go late night. Boring atmosphere, very rude staff. Called ahead and was told the bar closes at 1, but everyone was kicked out at 1240. Don’t waste your money at this place.

Great spot for food and drink. Love their balcony view of Roger's St.

Went in for an appetizer and a couple drinks after the beach. Great spot to sit. They have the windows open and you can look out over the street and into the harbor. The drinks were good. The service was good. People were nice. But you think in a seaport town they would have good seafood. Worst clam chowder I've ever had in my life it was a cup full of cream and potatoes. Also had the baked escargot it was horrible, the water from the ocean wasn't that salty and that was the only flavor I could taste.
