There's also a desk provided. The double beds are comfortable, and the linens are clean. The only downside is the bathroom: the tub is old, stained, and cracked, which makes it feel uninviting.

We encountered a problem with the water heater in our initial room, but the staff promptly relocated us to another room. I would definitely consider staying here again. However, if you're seeking luxury accommodations, you might want to look elsewhere.

We completely fell in love with Gloucester. The room was cozy, clean, and perfectly warm for the chilly Massachusetts nights. Hugh, who manages the place, was incredibly warm, friendly, helpful, and accommodating. We will definitely recommend this place and look forward to returning in the new year. Thank you, Hugh! The place was shockingly large, incredibly bare, and quite dull. The enormous room featured a cathedral ceiling but had little decoration—just a single mirror and cold grey floors, with walls painted in a color that seemed to come from an Army surplus auction. Yet, despite this, everything that really mattered was in good shape: the bed, shower, HVAC system, TV, and cleanliness were all satisfactory. Plus, if you have young children, there's plenty of empty space for them to run around! On a positive note, the front desk staff recommended a fantastic restaurant for us.

In the morning, when we tried to shower, there was no shower head and only lukewarm water—never fully hot. After that, we left for the day, but received a call expressing surprise at the amount of belongings left in our room. We found out that they had messed up our reservation; despite booking a month in advance, they had only booked us for one night instead of two. This turned out to be a blessing in disguise, as we managed to find a room last minute at another hotel in town, where our experience was much, much better. I would not recommend staying here. **Rooms:** The room had some updates, like new comforters, but much of the furniture and the fridge were extremely outdated. There was no shower head, not enough towels, and the floors were dirty. **Noteworthy details:** Overall, it was unclean and failed to meet basic hotel expectations such as having a shower head, the correct number of towels, hot water, clean linens, and clean floors.
