What a beautiful pub! The staff are fantastic, and the food is fabulous. The portion sizes are quite large. The challenge with the wall is a tourist attraction in itself; if you can fit through it, you receive a certificate. Guests take on the challenge before their meal, so be sure to leave room for dessert! View all feedback.
Beautiful pub to visit. great eating and very friendly staff.
Stopped of while tracersing the woodhead pass, lovely food, kind and friendly service...not much in the way of parking
Always a friendly welcome at the Peels. Lovely food, especially chicken kiev. Sharing starter also lovely, light batter. Good guest beers. New beer garden is outstanding. Helen, Phil, Martin, Jess all the staff are friendly helpful. All England games on during Euros too. Best pub in the area
Had the meal deal two course pub food starter and main at a set price before 7pm recommend it...real fire to warm you up. Great service and staff friendly helpful
When we arrived, it was quite busy, and there were some bookings, but Jess and the entire team were courteous and seated us quickly. The service was impeccable—everyone was friendly, and if we hadn’t been driving, we definitely would have stayed for a few more drinks. The food and drink selection was vast, which I often find a bit overwhelming, but everything we tried was fresh and delicious. Our food arrived promptly and was served hot. I ordered the rump steak, which was cooked to perfection, and I couldn't stop raving about the onion rings for the rest of the day! The peppercorn sauce might be a bit too spicy for some, but it was just right for me. My boyfriend had the gammon, which was massive and absolutely worth every bite! The drinks were cold and served with a smile—just what we needed after a long walk in the countryside. Overall, we had a fantastic time that truly made our day, and we will definitely be back!
