The cream of champignon soup was divine, the pan-fried pork fillet was an absolute dream, the meat was cooked to perfection and lightly kissed from the grill. The other dishes that my wife and friends allowed me to try were also perfect. The dessert was amazing. I've never eaten so much. The staff were super nice and friendly, and a big thank you to all of you when I was having problems with my circulation before. We'd love to come back, and I hope things continue to be so great with you.

To start with the few positives: The restaurant boasts a quiet location and an appealing interior and exterior decor/atmosphere, and our service was friendly, albeit unprofessional (see below) and also a bit annoying – every sentence began or ended with the inappropriate Dear friends. But that was it for the predominantly positive impressions. We ordered two pan-fried fish and one roast beef, each with fried potatoes. The fried potatoes were completely mushy and definitely not freshly made, but reheated, which, incidentally, has also been criticized in other reviews. The pan-fried fish; Individual pieces with a very fishy, i.e., not fresh, flavor—an unreasonably small portion for €23—were practically drowned in the pungent, grainy mustard sauce. The beers were served at a comfortable temperature, whereas the white wine was served almost at room temperature. When the waiter asked us if we were satisfied with the meal, we replied no. The waiter completely ignored this and asked if we wanted dessert. The chocolate ice cream we ordered—specifically without cream or other accompaniments —came with strawberries and was already half-melted. Certainly our first and last visit to Heimathafen; the value for money is completely out of whack. We really don 't understand the predominantly positive reviews.
