Outback Steakhouse Parklea - Glenwood

I visited Outback Steakhouse on a Friday night with two friends. We tried to make a booking, however were told they do not accept reservations. Luckily we arrived early at 5.30pm so we were seated immediately near the bar, however the couple after us, were told there would be a 45 minute wait. Our waiter for the night was very friendly, however we did feel a little rushed throughout the night, as if they wanted us in and out as quickly as possible. I ended up ordering the 'No rules' burger, which was a beef burger in which you could choose from a list of ingredients to add. I asked for the egg and pineapple on the side, however these were left off my order when it arrived. Soft drinks are also $5.95, however they offer free refills after you purchase your first glass. I thought this was a good idea, however our waiter never offered the free refills, and we constantly had to ask. I was too full for dessert, however my friends' dessert, looked great. Overall the burger, drink and dessert were reasonably priced, however my meal wasn't correct. Due to the business and inability to make reservations, I'm not sure if I would go again.

Perfectly cooked fillet, with a side of ribs to die for. This is only our second visit to Outback, and it did not dissapoint. Very friendly staff made for a great lunch.

This is our fourth visit, but first review. That speaks for itself! Busy when we visited (Sunday evening), but the service was pleasant, but perhaps the meals took a it long to deliver. Once delivered we enjoyed every bit of it.

My family took me to this restaurant to celebrate my birthday, it was a Tuesday night so the restaurant wasn't terribly busy and we were seated immediately. That was the end of the 'immediate' service. it was over half an hour before we were approached again to see if we wanted to order drinks. I pointed out that we had not seen a menu yet and the waitress turned without saying anything, brought the menus and again asked for our drink orders. i asked if we could get water for the table, and the waitress repeated 'water for the table' like this was a new concept that she had never heard before. She left and fifteen minutes later our drinks arrived but no water. The waitress then returned to take our orders, we had been there almost an hour now. I reminded her about the water and was met with a blank gaze.Forty five minutes later our meals arrived, but still no water! To give credit where it is due, the meals were delicious and cooked to perfection. Once we completed our meals, we were left totally alone and I mean totally! No one cleared our plates, checked if we wanted any more drinks, brought water, offered us coffee or asked if we wanted to see the dessert menu.In that hour we noticed that our waitress was actually training up a new waitress. Really??? Our waitress was the one who needed training! Poor customer service and slack at her job.In the end we managed to flag down another waitress and asked for our bill. We then took it to the counter to pay. The girl at the counter made the mistake of asking us how the service had been, so I told her how I had asked for water and never received it, how we weren't offered coffee or the dessert menu, told her the food was very good but the service was pathetic. She then asked if I would like to see the dessert menu now and I told her we would go elsewhere for coffee and dessert now. Then she asked if I'd like to see the manager, but I may have to wait about 10 minutes. I told her that I just wanted to leave and asked her to pass on my comments. And thankfully we then left.As I stated, food was delicious but the service was dreadful. There was no reason for the long delays before taking our order, and definitely no reason not to offer dessert or coffee menus, and what ever happened to the water. We were a party of 3, not a large party but that is really irrelevant. Poor service is poor service abd I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone!

My steak was a perfect medium rare which I loved, boyfriend also enjoyed his meal. Team was friendly and kind. Would come back again.
