Reviews - Fuzzie's
Reviews summary
Nestled along a quiet road, this restaurant has had its ups and downs over the years, with recent improvements in food quality and service sparking renewed interest. Diners rave about the delicious fried catfish, butterfly shrimp, and hearty hamburger steak, often citing the efficient takeout service as a key highlight. However, some patrons have noted inconsistencies, such as overcooked seafood dishes and lackluster customer service. Despite these occasional disappointments, the cozy diner atmosphere and value for money—with most dishes priced between $10 and $20—make it a worthwhile stop for both locals and travelers alike.

I recently had dinner at this restaurant and found the overall dining experience to be pleasant. The price per person ranged between $10 and $20, which I found to be quite reasonable.
The food was delicious, I would rate it a 4 out of 5. The service, however, was a bit lacking and I would rate it a 3 out of 5.
The atmosphere of the restaurant was cozy and inviting, I would give it a 4 out of 5. I would recommend... View all feedback.
What Alec Stanton dislikes about Fuzzie's:
the restaurant is not as good as before. they go in and a series of walking youths come from behind to go as if only in the back kitchen that is a health care. they wait for too long to sit. the service is not close to friendly as they are earlier, and the host must dress better. very dissatisfied. Previously it was good, what's going on? Maybe a health inspector has to visit by chance. View all feedback.

Rented a Cabin in Glenmora, without many options to choose from on a Sunday at noon, we decided on Fuzzie's. Best chicken fried steak ever, good customer service!!! Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: Grilled Chicken, Chicken Fried Steak, Onion Rings
The fish was good, but the rest of my seafood platter was questionable. I’m from the Lafayette area and the seafood down there just does not look like what was prepared here, The oysters were rubbery dry, and the batter had popped open on all of them and the stuffed crab batter on it got gooey on top. It was not what I expected. Food: 1 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3
I knew from the phone call that I should’ve kept driving but with nothing for miles on that rd and me having 2hrs left to drive I needed something on my stomach! Called spoke with a cook who took my order at the end of call I asked the price and she says “idk I’m just the cook I don’t know the prices” and proceeds to hang up. I get there, walk inside, it’s the young girl behind the counter and a police officer who’s sitting at the table eating. The young girl refused to acknowledge that I walked through the door she kept looking around me as if some one was behind me then walked from behind the counter to walk over to the officer with no greeting to me at all. So I’m just standing there the officer then greets me and I replied! How a customer greet me before you! the girl then walks passed me again to say did you order something I say”hi how are you” she then repeats what she says still no greeting just rudeness with sassy attitude and eye rolls! I should’ve walked out the but your girl was hungry. Get my food I got a butterfly shrimp po boy with onion rings and sweet tea. The bread was hard to peel from wrapper it started coming apart I chewed one bite and the shrimp was bad it tasted awful like it was spoiled ugh a waste of time and money Don’t go here!! Price per person: $10–20 Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

The fish was delicious, but the other seafood on my platter was disappointing. As someone from Lafayette, I'm used to higher quality seafood. The oysters were rubbery and dry, with the batter popping open on all of them. The stuffed crab was also disappointing, as the batter got gooey on top. Overall, not what I was expecting.

A quick drive for amazing food! The chicken fried steak with homemade mashed potatoes is a standout, along with the fried catfish and burgers. Every item on the menu is sure to impress. The staff is friendly and ready to assist with any inquiries. Don't miss out on the salad bar. The charming, small diner-style restaurant provides a cozy, homey atmosphere. Well worth the trip!

We have been ordering from this restaurant for 12 years, but we have not been satisfied until recently. Last year, every time we ordered, it seemed like we were getting the same amount of food for a higher price, or even less food. The pizza we received had less toppings and seemed like it had been sitting for months. This has been very disappointing and has had a negative impact on our overall satisfaction with the service. Unfortunately, we will now be ordering from a different local restaurant.
Don't stop here on a Sunday. they are extremely busy and there is not enough server to handle the Sunday crowd. eating is not worth waiting.
