Contribute Feedback What Eden Arce doesn't like about Mimi's Cafe:
The only good thing I can really say about Mimis is that it was clean and the waitstaff was friendly. My food was subpar for almost $30 a person. The others with me had a salad and pancakes, which they both liked, but for about $20 each, the portions were small. No one checked in with us after dropping off the food. Would not recommend. We went there during Mother's Day and had 7 people in the group. The way they had their menu was very predatory. Their menu consisted of only 3 courses and $34 each. In totals the meal came out to about $50 for each of us and the check included an already set gratuity fee of 18%. We were not allowed to choose individual items and we felt bad and decided to stay because the waiters had set up the tables for us 7. 2 of us had the steak and it was delicious and they both asked for the steaks medium rare but what was strange was half of the steak was medium rare and the other half was rare and ****. Other than that the food portions were underwhelming for the price and overall the meal was very mediocre. I would gladly return to eat the normal menu but I would never go back during holidays due to the set menu that was not advertised until you sit down and see the menu.
We had an amazing breakfast here. The food was fantastic. The service was really friendly.
For it being a holiday (Valentines Day) management was not prepared by having their inventory up to par. We wee and others were told several times that they were out of (said) product because they didn't have the ingredients to make it. Our server was nice but overwhelmed with working her table alone when management could have helped her instead of just walking around or telling her she also didn't know how to make (said) items at the bar. It was a sad and fast visit. Almost ruined our VDay. The server was the only one who cared or did a good job.
Stopped here a couple months ago. Mimosas were delicious and food was okay but nothing crazy. The only thing that threw us off was that when we split our checks the waitress put a total at top circled and told us what we owed. Upon review we noticed that that was a total plus the tip she gave herself. We definitely always tip but it just threw us off that she decided to tell us how much we were tipping as it was a little over 20%.Don't think we'll be back after this.
Had a reservation at 1030am. Arrived and were told it would be over an hour before our table was ready. GM, Angel, said they overbooked. Crazy thing is they were still seating walk ins and making people with reservations wait. I asked the host for the managers name and I was told he wasn't authorized to give that to me. Probably the most frustrating and strange experience I've ever had at a restaurant. Then they told me they would call/text when my table was ready. Never got a call or text. Left after an hour and went to Olive Garden
