Jax Fish House Oyster Glendale

We were able to book jax for the New Year's Eve dinner in the last minute, so did not know what to expect. we loved eating and service of zack! I had the black cat and my wife had the laughs and both were delicious! I recommend the traditional garlic and butter muscles for a starter.

We dined on NYE. Hostesses need to be checking reservation special requests. I even called ahead to make sure my request would be met. We both had the NYE dinner menu beef tartare (this was good but would have liked less chunky beef, traditional style), shrimp appetizer, crab stuffed sole (crab was weak, it was all stringy and mashed up), scallops, lobster bisque, dessert (pudding was delicious, good chocolate dessert can't recall what it was exactly). service was good!

The food was delicious and fresh, our server was amazing and attentive, and the overall experience was wonderful! We will definitely be there again.

We enjoyed the affordable Feast of Seven Fishes, an Italian tradition.

Service was atrocious. we had to ask for a drink. The appetizer arrived before the drinks. The menu said to ask about the warm bread. Yes we had to ask and ask and ask. Then two small rolls appeared and when they were gone we had to ask again. The calamari was barely recognizable as it was so small and over crisp. Waiter feigned interest but was not interested in serving us. The person who delivered the food was similarly disinterested. Have been there many times and the bar service was decent. don’t get a table if you go; sit at the bar. or better yet, don’t bother going. Did get a 35.00 voucher for next time and the manager and hostess were really nice.
