Was Joia DaVida at Fish Time a mag?
I came across a video about this restaurant from 'Insider Food' and I was eager to give it a try. The place is bright and well-maintained. You place your order at the counter, and the staff is more than willing to answer any questions you may have. I was fortunate to visit during happy hour, and I ended up ordering six oysters on the half shell along with the dynamite fries. My friend also had a few oysters and the dynamite roll. The oysters were plump, fresh, and tasted great. The dynamite fries were amazing, and my friend loved the rich buttery flavor of the dynamite roll. I’m definitely interested in returning to sample their uni pasta! There is metered street parking available.
I had a great experience at this restaurant! The atmosphere was pleasant, the space was generous, and the food was delicious. The staff were very friendly, and the portion sizes were just right. For a group of four, our total came to $85, which is a bit on the pricier side, but the quality of the food made it worth it. My favorite dish was the Tilapia with Garlic Butter—so tasty! I’ll definitely be returning and bringing my friends with me.
I really enjoyed the macarons and the rice. The slow-cooked chicken breast was a bit dry, and it could have used more sauce. However, everything else was fantastic, and the service was excellent.
Came to Fish Time looking for some fish...and some fish I got! Came unwittingly at happy hour (Mon Fri. 3pm close. all day Sat and Sun) and got me some grilled swai. The grilled swai came in such big portions with a side of rice and salad topped with delicious pickled cucumber. My significant other got a lobster roll thay came on a Hawaiian like bread instead of your typical white roll. The lobster roll combo seemed like a smaller portion than the grilled dish...looked a bit underwhelming but filled us up nonetheless.
Tasty food and nice environment. We went during happy hour, which is EVERYDAY from 3-6pm. Large selection of food AND drinks including draft beers. The chower fries is awesome, and the salmon Burger is juicy, tasty and have a unique taste because they added pickled onions to it. Will be back in no time!
