This is one of mine and my mom’s favorite places to go. The brisket is wonderful and the portion sizes are great! Josh is the epitome of a server. He is always so upbeat and accommodating. My mom actually wants to adopt him. We are always thrilled when we are seated in his section. Seating provides plenty of room to accommodate my mom’s wheelchair. View all feedback.
What Ted Batycki doesn't like about Dillon's Kc Bbq Arrowhead:
I don't enjoy posting negative reviews, but I enjoyed the brisket even less. It was dry and flavorless. So was the pulled pork. The service was great, but couldn't make up for poor BBQ at a BBQ place. View all feedback.
Joshua King was an awesome waiter and the food was amazing
Just ate an excellent meal there and had an amazing server, Joshua King. The ribs were the best I’ve ever eaten. Everything was so delicious! We will definitely be back!!
Food was OK, but not great coming from a native to Illinois and Kansas City Mo
Used to be a fan but I was Reminded today why we stopped going here. Bbq sauce: ugh, bring your own. Bbq beans: don't order: (always undercooked). Today we had the Texas BLT sandwich (very limp and burnt bacon together) and a pulled pork sandwich (was ok), onion rings (were actually very good). No drinks. The bill was about $50 before the tip. Stick to beer and appetizers if ever a next time. We did have an excellent server though.
Let me state first that I reached out to Dillions privately first almost 2 weeks ago and never received a response. I have eaten at Dillon’s on 3 separate occasions, but the last time I actually ordered BBQ. My first experience was a burger, second was nachos and both were good. The last experience at Dillions was hands down the worst meal that my wife and I have ever had at any restaurant and I am not exaggerating. I rarely complain and almost never blast a restaurant online unless I am ignored, which I was. I wasn’t looking for a refund or credit. I truly waned the managers/owners to be aware of the poor quality of food the kitchen manager and expo person sent out. My wife and I come from a restaurant background and try to do our best to be understanding of situations, staffing etc. The beef brisket, mashed potatoes and mac and cheese I ordered was by far the worst meal I have ever had. The mashed potatoes were watery and likely instant. The mac and cheese also tasted like it came out of a box or bag. The brisket was in no way bbq brisket. It resembled a steamed pile of grey beef similar. It didn’t have any flavor of smoke and absolutely no bark. Having lived in Kansas City and Texas I am familiar with good brisket. My wife order the fish tacos. The menu called them tilapia. I am not sure what fish they used, but I could smell the strong odor of fish coming from the plate when the server arrived. My wife took one bite and couldn’t eat more. She asked me to try it and it was a really bad cut of fish. Either it was spoiled or not tilapia. The only item that we ate there that was good was a wedge salad that we shared. 2 entrees, 2 beers and 1 wedge salad came out to $100. You would have thought the server would have taken the entrees off since we left the majority of mine untouched and all of my wife’s meal. She did ask us if anything was wrong to which we replied, “the food was really bad”. I have never had this happen before. I didn’t ask to see a manager nor did she send one over. Probably an oversight on both parties, but I have never been in this situation before. Either way, it’s sad because we like to support small businesses. I hope the leadership will read this and tighten things up.
