"I used to go here when we lived here when I was young!" My partner was intrigued to be dining at Wong's again, perhaps fifty year later? We were greeted with a smile and welcomed. Orders were the duck in golden gravy, kin do pork, broccoli with garlic sauce, and steamed rice. Everything came out hot and was tasty. Serves were so generous that we ended up with leftovers to take home. Overall impression? As "Chinese", it was impressive and worthy of a visit. For our palates now? We would probably pass on a return visit and head towards the spice of Vietnam.

We live locally and have never tried this place so we went and ordered 3 mains, I am a very fair reviewer and unfortunately all meals were not good at all. They all tasted the same without flavour, the beef was old and chewy and the pork seemed twice deep fried with sweet sour sauce poured over the top. I felt bad when I left I wanted to email them and tell them that the food is not up to standard because they are a lovely couple with an empty restaurant. With the reasonable prices and the location they should be busy all of the time. My advice is to get a new chef because this is my first experience in a restaurant as far as I can remember that I didn't like all the food served to me not even one dish was acceptable.
Well last time I went to 'wongs' I was about 13, And for years have never had any fried rice or lettece cups that taste as good as WONGS.I have been trying to find this "famous" place of mine for 20 + years. ok so we finally found it....30 mins left to closing- we were still welcomed like kings..everything was almost as I remembered from a child-the smell of that yummy yummy for my tummy food..!! and the layout (yeah they have had upgrades but basically the same).i ordered 1of almost everything I could remember I loved starting with there Special fried Rice, lettece cups & home made dim sims...!!!!!! OMG I swear the owner must of thought I was Crazy..!! after oh about 6 mouthfuls I lost it & started crying(the owner came running over and asked am I ok-through tears I said yes & explained it taste the same! like ive just gone back in a time machine. the same)there crispy chicken is just devine,i cant remember what its called maybe sticky pork?? was um like ar heaven-for real.it was basically Magic and a memory I shall cherish, when we left and asked for doggy bags (as i ordered enough food for like 15 people and was just the 4 of us) they were fine with that and also gave us 'WONGS' chopsticks and a bottle of the soy sause they have.I then left a $200 tip which was well worth it ..!!!! even though our bill came to $120As they had stayed open after closing for us which really made me feel like a Queen.I love WONGS good old fashioned family business that has been going for 50+ years now..so you know when you go there to eat..you are in for the most AMAZING taste-fest...Wickedly good Chinese food at its finest..I highly Recommend you 'Just Try it Once' it so yummy yummy yummy for your tummy tummy tummy..you will never be disapointed at WONGS CAFEp.s they are also fully licenced b.y.o(I brought Cognac)

This clean, unassuming establishment is not really a café so much as a traditional suburban Chinese restaurant that has been our default source of dinner or lunch when it's just too hard to cook at home. Try their honey peppered beef or the Westlake duck!
What ever you do don't try the dumplings they are horrible! I don't know about the other food but the places was quiet on a Saturday night. Should of stayed away :-((((
