What a lovely place to catch up with old friends over lunch on a wet Melbourne day. The staff were friendly, the ambiance cozy and the menu extensive. Decided on the beef burger - a very generous size and accompanied by fries. All delicious and washed down with a beer!

We were in Elwood for the evening never having been before. We were checking out local eateries and stumbled across The Dining Haul and decided to give it a whirl. A couple on the communal table were eulogizing about their food. I ordered lamb shanks and it was absolutely delicious. Meat fell off the bone. Mashed potatoes creamy and buttery. The service was outstanding. Apparently they have a new chef. Really worth checking out.

I travel a lot and spend often a month or longer in different places. Since I travel alone, often the places I eat become a degree of my sense of the place and a small bit of community. I was staying near the Dining Haul and frequented. The staff dealt with my food allergies with ease. The food was always wonderful. I always felt like I was home and being taken care of by family. I am not the most social person but the customers and staff were all friendly and engaging. I recommend it to locals and travels alike.

Great dinner tonight. Working as a chef in Europe last 10 years I know the food test according value of meal . I just Can say you try one time . Me and my girlfriend had seafood taco, one grilled snapper fillet , grilled pawns. So coming back while I am in Melbourne .
