We came here for Sunday lunch and were delighted with the service and with the food. Their smashed avocado with fetta, lemon and mint on sourdough toast was fresh and delectable. "The golden terrace" pizza was fresh, the crust was just right - crisp on the outside and hot and squashy on the inside - with a delectable topping of flavoursome spiced mince with freshly sliced tomatoes and blanched almonds sprinkled with... This once popular venue has been closed for about 2 months, no reasons given , has been some movement in re-arranging furniture, however most disappointing after the last full on re-opening serval months ago , the place is totally deserted of staff/trades people and or regulars , disappointing Moors Head !Peter View all feedback.
I went with a group of friends and some special bottles of wine. With polished concrete floors and hard surface walls, the restaurant looks trendy, and is noisy.Pizzas were very good. We should have ordered pizzas consecutively, so they could be shared. We ordered four to share, and all four came at once. The next pizzas we ordered were one at a time. There was a good choice of pizzas. Better quality ingredients than many pizza restaurants.
Great Pizza, had the prosciutto with gorgonzola the crust is probably the best in Melbourne. Would definitely recommend if you are in the area.

Second visit - this time Sunday brunch. My broccoli et al salad was healthy and fresh - but even though I like my coffee not too hot, even this was only luke warm. My hubbie had an omelette on toast which he said was bland. He hated the coffee. I'd probably go back for coffee as my first visit mid week was fine - think it might be dependent on who's on the machine. The staff were ok but not particularly attentive or efficient. I noticed the cushioned seating against the wall in the main section of the dining area was very stained and looked shabby - I didn't think this was a good look for a new place. There's lots of cafe competition on the Glenhuntly Road strip now so might need to attend to these details of appearance, good staffing and reliable coffee making.

"The golden terrace" pizza was fresh, the crust was just right - crisp on the outside and hot and squashy on the inside - with a delectable topping of flavoursome spiced mince with freshly sliced tomatoes and blanched almonds sprinkled with sumac. We shared our meals and had a truly delightful lunch. This place is clearly a well-kept secret as it was quiet and uncrowded, and the staff were happy to turn the background music down for us "hard of hearing". Thank you Moor's Head South for a very good dining experience - we're locals and we'll be back for sure.
