Very limited menu. Service average. toilets do not seem to have been cleaned for a considerable time.
On the search for a light lunch we went up and down glenferrie rd before we decide on larder. we were looking for a baguette and these were available. we chose one with the turquoise and the other ham, cheese and scab. the fillings were very fresh and delicious. but the rolls were extremely chewing it has made a lot of effort to bite and chew every piece; quite a strange baguette. the decoration is very basic. a raw concrete floor, small tables scored the caffe, and there was a large cooling display case on the back where we decided to sit. it was at least a quiet place to have a bite. the order was at the counter, but then the food was bought at the table. service was ok unlike the Baguette roll was simply a fight to get through
Beautiful cafe, which is a great selection of products for the continuation of the entertaining back to home with friends, if desired. If you like to have a milkshake the old fashion path with a cooled stainless steel support container, don't let the opportunity pass. Big coffee...big cake.
A late lunch. eating was good, but the table is a little weird. larder sold a quantity of were, so large cooled display cases have been set up and the tabs are simply in the way they can fit. in case the one on the back right next to the display case this means that people come to choose shopping while they eat. there is a good selection of fresh were for sale. they can easily buy something to take home for dinner and not to cook harassed.
This is such a welcoming place with interesting provisions for foodies to explore and try. A recent slow cooked lamb ciabatta sandwich was sensational and the soups are beautiful. Love the coffee and smashed Avo with goats cheese or salmon, can buy lovely Dench bread here too. Great place for quick lunch or relaxed cuppa.
