This place has been churning out no frills Chinese food, mostly take away, for years. There is nothing flash about the food but the quality is extremely reliable, the serves are large and come with plenty of vegetables. The meat is always tender and of good quality and they do a pretty good, non greasy batter. I love the hot and sour chicken but my wife prefers the fish with Chinese mushrooms. Never write reviews but felt I had to with this one. Chips there taste disgusting, none of us ate them. The meat in the dishes (chicken with the black bean sauce) was horrible..and little pieces of meat. Vegetables were fine, rice was fine. Prawn crackers fine. Would never eat there again!! So disappointed. View all feedback.
If a Chinese takeaway is what you want then you can't go very wrong. My favourite fried rice in this area. Big portion of prawn crackers. Great seasoning on the chips. Yummy chicken ribs. Not too keen on the spring rolls but each to their own. Can't pay by card in the shop, cash only or pay on menulog online. Delivery can take a while, best to pick up. Will be ordering again soon
I have been relying on this restaurant for a while now. When I was unemployed and short on money, I didn't have a kitchen in my old apartment. This place offers great value for money with options like a $7 rice and stir fry special or just getting the stir fry for $12, which can be turned into 3-4 meals if you have a rice cooker at home. I recommend trying the chicken or beef curry, which is Asian curry, not Indian, as well as the Szechuan chicken or beef, chili beef or chicken, and the delicious wonton soup. My only complaint is that they sell a can of drink for $2.50 when there is a $2 shop nearby selling Coke for $1 and Aussie dim sims for $3.50 for 2, which is overpriced. I highly recommend this place, especially if you are on a tight budget. As a bonus, the St. Kilda library, which offers free fast wifi, is only 5 meters away.
The restaurant was delightful and the food was fresh. I ordered the prawn toast, mixed vegetables and mushrooms, and spicy salt and pepper calamari, all of which were delicious. I placed the order online and was informed that delivery would take an hour, which was accurate. I would certainly order from here again.
Yum!. Delicious, healthy, inexpensive, friendly, friendly service. Good vibes. They've moved opposite the St Kilda townhall now.
Good, Cheap Food. Cica serve big meals that are also quite healthy (depending on what you order). I got the Veggies w/ Chinese Mushrooms which was a huge plate of veg. and had lots of mushrooms in it not just a few token pieces. They are friendly have quick service. I will go there again.
