This is my go to place for connecting with friends. The cafe's namesake... Bruce... Is kind, generous and full of wit. The coffe is the best on Carlisle Street. It's small, and that's part of the charm. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Cafe Bruce:
Dropped in to get a quick coffee on the way past as it always seemed reasonably busy which is usually a good sign; was surprised with the surly and grumpy old man that ran the place. I actually felt quite unwelcome which is what the rating was based on. It was around 3pm on a weekday so perhaps he'd had enough for the day?I did not have any food, so can not attest to quality, etc. I won't be going back to try. View all feedback.
We landed here on our first day in Melbourne. Bruce is a character, and the food was delicious. Also great coffee, and WiFi.
Exceptional coffee, created and served by a man who loves what he does and the people he does it for.
Great coffee,very interesting conversation with Bruce,what a character. Well worth a visit.Would definitely go again and sit and relax for a while.
WHAT A COFFEE IT WAS! Bruce served it up cheerfully, with classic coffee shop humor! I'll defo be back. Perfectly positioned next to Library n StKilda town hall.
Nice little cafe. Service was fine. My long mac was nice and served up cheerily. It was very hot but that’s way better than too cool in my book. The outdoor area here beside the cafe is expansive. It’d be superb on a warmer day than today. If half marks were available I’d give this place a 3.5.
