Great local pub with personality, upstairs is chilled with a gorgeous rooftop and downstairs is perfect for watching sport in front of their huge TV, great selection of beers on tap and every spirit you could imagine behind the bar, highly recommend!

Loved the balaclava hotel .. served by Kim who was a delight .. : food was fantastic .. high quality , high standard .. the new upstairs bar caters to dogs as well as humans .. so completely family friendly :

We booked a table for Saturday night, nobody took us to the table, we had to walk around asking for wine list, weren't given a menu, and staff were completely disinterested in us. Felt like they couldn't care less whether we were there or not. Such a shame, as the steak was excellent.

I went to the Balaclava Hotel for dinner on Saturday night and ate in the downstairs restaurant. The management and staff were accommodating and provided excellent service; so much better than the staff pre renovation. Our dinner was delicious and fairly priced. The downstairs restaurant had a lively atmosphere and looks great. After dinner we went upstairs to the new rooftop bar for a cocktail. The staff were friendly and the cocktails were made really well. Would highly recommend will definitely be going back again soon.

A booking was made in generous time. When we arrived the table was set for about 25 of us. As the hotel knew what time and the amount of patrons, you would have imagined they would be prepared...no such luck. There were very few people as it is a small dining area. We ordered and waited, and waited....yawn and waited. The food was coming out in dribs and drabs, and there appeared to have no organisation. It was 1 hour after ordering that I received my meal (Parma), and when it did arrive it was warm. I asked if they could heat it, and I was told that I would get a fresh meal. No such luck. They had placed it in the microwave, then placed it under the grill, to say the least it was dry and hard. Not many people were happy or impressed at all with this hotel. This will be my first last time that I will be going to this hotel.
