We visited this Mexican Restaurant a few months back and it did not disappoint. Great to see if different home cooked meal food options coming to this area. Tlacuache is a hidden gem in Corner Brook that deserves attention. I am originally from Newfoundland but have lived abroad extensively as well as in Ontario, Alberta, Quebec and BC here in Canada, having just moved back home from Vancouver, and this is EASILY the undisputed best AUTHENTIC Mexican cuisine I have had outside of Mexico. That’s high praise. If you are used to texmex taco bell nonsense, this might not be what you’re expecting, but you should eat here anyway and expand your horizons. If you want real Mexican food, look no further, this is probably as close as you’re going to get. A taste of culture. This may not be something that you’re used to, but go with an open mind and try the food, you will fall in love with the flavour. My wife, who is Mexican, was overjoyed. The food reminded her of her mom’s; Newfoundlanders know it doesn’t get better than that. It’s also very reasonably priced and you can go and fill up without spending much!
