Nice ambiance. Was given warm water. Had to request water with ice. They prepared two of the same dishes when I had ordered different from my husband. Was disappointed as I had expected better from a restaurant in this type of hotel. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Pratt's:
When we arrived, we were told that half of the menu was not stored, there was no waitress and no host, only the barkeeper did everything. I was really angry and disappointed by my experience, especially because we are going to eat everywhere, that was the worst service we ever got at any place. View all feedback.
We came to Prat because our last visit was wonderful. It wasn't this time. A guest was not allowed to change his order after being registered on the list. We asked bread, but they said they don't do bread. The food as soon as it arrived was hardly Tepid. Silverware came after the food that had to come from the kitchen in the basement to the restaurant in the attic. 5 of 6 ordered the steak; not one piece was done at our order - everything was over! Not disabled. (which we knew but not published). The menu was not so written. We said chocolate cake was not available, but cheesecake was. But when we were ready for dessert, there were only 2 slices of cheesecake and chocolate cake.?? Coffee was cool when Altho was served a fresh pot. When I finally got hot coffee, I was done with my meal. I admit that the waterglass was kept filled.
Overpriced and salty boring food. You do not expect this.
Pratt’s is basically in the attic of the old Pratt Mansion. It is up three flights of stairs with no elevator available. The food was mediocre. The hostess and server were very nice.
The Mansion at Glen Cove has beautiful grounds and is a beautiful building. This experience did not meet these standards. The restaurant itself is a walk way to the 3rd floor. The place itself is nicely decorated in a pub motif is in good condition. The menu is very limited quality is only fair. Where they earn their one star is the $22 they charged me for pasta with butter for my 13 year old daughter. They said she was too old to order off for kids menu but this was far from an adult size portions. When I complained the waiter says he doesn’t set the prices
Really cool place. I would return for the atmosphere and availability of fun things to do before/after a meal (pool, shuffleboard, .couches, jukebox, privacy).
