Located in the attic of the historic Pratt Mansion, Pratt's Restaurant leaves much to be desired despite its picturesque facade. Patrons report a dim, dated atmosphere and frustratingly slow service. Expect a limited menu selection during restaurant week, and be prepared for overpriced drinks. While some dishes, like the burrata, have received praise, overall food quality has been inconsistent, with several diners noting improperly cooked steaks and lukewarm meals. Accessibility issues and inadequate management further mar the experience, leaving many diners feeling let down despite previous visits. It's an unfortunate reminder that charm doesn't always equate to culinary success.

The beautiful photos of the mansion don’t match the reality of Pratt’s restaurant. Marketed as a pub, it feels more like a forgettable dining option you pick out of desperation while on vacation. Housed upstairs in what was once the servants’ quarters, the space is dark, worn, and outdated. The service was slow—we had to ask for a knife with every course. We were only given the Restaurant Week menu, not the regular or special menus, and there was no wine list available, so we had no idea about the wine’s name, origin, or price per glass. To our shock, each glass cost $16, which seemed steep alongside the $28 Restaurant Week dinner. The burrata was the best part of the meal; the bay scallops were just average. My boyfriend enjoyed his filet mignon, but my fish was disappointing. The side vegetables were mostly green peppers, and the lobster tail we ordered tasted old and stale. The couple next to us left before getting their desserts because of the wait, and it seemed we only received their desserts quickly because they gave up waiting. Management didn’t offer them any coffee or drinks to make up for the poor service. They also don’t serve cappuccinos or espresso, and we weren’t even offered any after-dinner cocktails to buy. I left feeling hungry and let down and wouldn’t consider coming back.

We returned to Pratt's hoping to relive the great experience from our last visit, but unfortunately, this time was quite disappointing. One of our guests wasn't allowed to change his order after it was placed. When we asked for bread, we were told they don’t serve any. The food arrived barely warm, and the silverware came long after the dishes, as everything had to be brought up from the basement kitchen to the attic dining area. Of the six of us, five ordered steak, and none were cooked as requested; all were overdone. Additionally, Pratt's is not handicap accessible, which we knew but found no mention of anywhere. The menu didn’t match what was advertised online. We were told chocolate cake was unavailable but cheesecake was an option; however, when dessert time came, only two slices of cheesecake remained and, surprisingly, chocolate cake was now offered. The coffee was lukewarm despite a fresh pot having been made, and by the time I finally got a hot cup, I had already finished my meal. On the plus side, our water glasses were always kept filled.

When we arrived, we were told that half of the menu was unavailable. There were no servers or hosts to assist us—only the bartender handling everything. I was very upset and disappointed with the experience, especially as we eat out often. This was by far the worst service we've ever encountered at any restaurant.

I won’t even give it one star. The wait was ridiculous. Over an hr and be mindful there was only one other family present. The order was incorrect ! I wouldn’t recommend this if u r desperate. Not even a part of an app was brought out during ourwait time...no bread no crumb nada

So if you can survive the climb to the 3rd floor this restaurants got a cool vibe. Like a secret in the attic with a great bar, feels like a speakeasy. Great food, they have a good Pre Fixe menu. It was busy but service was friendly and the managerRichard check on us a few times. We will go back.
